The Queen¡¯s oldest grandson, Peter Phillips, married at Windsor Castle on May 17, 2008 in what was the first British royal wedding in nearly ten years. But as Peter, 30, exchanged vows with Canadian Autumn Kelly in front of 350 guests, one American girl read about it in the papers and sobbed in silence. For 30-year-old author Miss Jerramy Fine once thought it was she who was destined to be Peter¡¯s royal bride!

In her hilarious memoir, Someday My Prince Will Come (Gotham Books, 2008) Fine recounts her unshakable dream to become a princess. Born and bred in small-town Colorado and raised by wacky hippy parents, Fine found Peter in a royal family tree when she was only 6-years-old and decided immediately that he was the one for her.

After a lonely childhood spent writing love-letters to Peter c/o Buckingham Palace, destiny finally brought Fine to London, where she was more determined than ever to seek out her prince and leave her farm town in the dust.

In the course of her English adventures, Fine met Princess Anne (Peter¡¯s mother), befriended Earl Spencer, and partied with the Duchess of York. And just when she thought it might be time to give up and return to America, Peter magically appeared in her life.

Someday My Prince Will Come is the heartwarming true story about having the courage to pursue your childhood dream no matter how impossible it seems.
