Spain's Prince Felipe met Belgium's Prince Philip at Brussels European Commission headquarters on Wednesday (30.04.08).
Felipe, who is also known as the Prince of Asturias, met up with EU officials including Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the Commissioner for External Relations, Joaquin Almunia, the Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, and Jose Manuel Barroso, the EU Commission President during his visit.

Both Felipe and Philip, the Duke of Brabant, are working to get their nations to accept their positions as future kings.

Felipe is facing opposition from national and republican parties in different autonomous regions of Spain, while Philip has to deal with a country divided between French-speaking Walloons and Dutch-speaking Flemish.

After their meeting, the princes posed for photographers outside the EU Commission headquarters.
