For a tenth time The Art Institutes has joined hands with the nation's leading nonprofit focusing on advancing the arts in the United States, namely Americans for the Arts, to launch a poster design competition.
The 2013 Poster Design Competition is themed "You Can Create Tomorrow" and will be accepting your submission from now to January 31, 2013.
Specific eligibility requirements are brought out on their website at www.AiCompetitions.com/poster, but in most general terms, you need to be a high school senior or high school graduate from the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico and at least 16 years of age.
Your work will be judged based on 4 different criteria:
* Originality. Your competition poster can't contain trademarked or copyrighted materials.
* It must fit to the theme "You Can Create Tomorrow".
* Your poster must have visual impact.
* Your design must demonstrate basic design skills.
All of those criteria are equal when it comes to judging.
