For the fourth time Sydney has been transformed into a canvas of light. Vivid Sydney festival 2012 takes place from May 25 to June 11, 2012. The start of the festival was marked by illuminating over 60 light installations, including the one created by German design team called URBANSCREEN, who did the lighting of the iconic Sydney Opera House sails.
Artists from around the world have joined the festival - France, USA, Brazil, New Zealand - are just couple of countries to show you where the artists have come from to showcase what they can do and how they do their interactive and low-energy light art displays. During the opening, thousands and thousands of visitors enjoyed the show. All together more than 500 000 visitors are expected to the Sydney's after dark festivities. Musical performances at Vivid LIVE at Sydney Opera House, public talks and debates, conferences and seminars at the new Vivid Ideas Exchange at the MCA.
With more than 100 creative industry events, Vivid Sydney is definitely worth a look.
