Britney Spears sent an open letter to Tabloids like Us Weekly, Star magazine and In Touch. She's not happy about their stories which say that her marriage is a wreck and she was pregnant.
Here's her letter, it's no news, it's just funny:
Dear False Tabloids,
As you read this letter, I bet you are asking yourself: Who? Who, me? Am I a false tabloid? Well, I don't know. But after this posting, I hope you are asking yourself a lot of questions. Your employees are a reflection of your magazine. Do you, Us Weekly, In Touch, Star and other desperate magazines want employees who are honest, or those who are liars? It seems to me that you'd prefer the latter. I'm really concerned about the people you hire to work at your companies. I'd like them to ask themselves the question, "What am I lying to myself about?" Is it that you are 50 pounds overweight? Is it that your children aren't making wise decisions? Or is it maybe that your husband or boyfriend is cheating on you? Until you face what is going on in your life, I guess you'll remain a false tabloid.
Saving the Tigers from extinction It was a hurriedly organized citizen’s meeting at Guwahati Press Club, where serious concerns were expressed at the increasing trend of poaching and killing of wildlife in various parts of Assam.
The EIP factor - what you should learn from it When we grow older, or get older for the sake of the argument, we tend to start seeing the world only from one side. We tend to believe, no, not believe but know, how things are done. If you are smart, you understand that it shouldn't be that way, you understand this is wrong.

I could see where Britney would get upset for people making a false statement about her. She has done a lot of cleaning up and has tried to straighten her life out as best she can with all the pressure people have thrown on her. You must remember that no matter where she goes, people expect so much from her and at times it can become overwhelming, even for the biggest stars. So if she felt that she has been trying so hard to make her life right and for a magazine to come out and tell a fib about her, I can see where she would get frustrated.
However, the words she chose were out of line on her part and down right nasty. If she wanted to solve a problem, insulting the magazine companies is not a good way to do it. Here is how it works with the media if you haven't figured it out Britney. Without the media, you would be nothing as far as a star is concerned. The media is what gets fans to buy your first album or watch your first movie to see if they like you. Notice, at the beginning of your career, the media for the most part was positive and in turn people were attracted to your sound and music. However, once the media started telling bad stories about you true or not, your popularity has begun to fade and less people are staying fans of yours. If you bad mouth a magazine, television program, radio program, what have you, they WILL make you pay for it. So if you really are tired of them putting out bad stories about you, you need to change you, not them. The media will be the media. There's no other way to put it. And if you cannot handle this, why are you in this business?
On a personal note, congradulations to you and Kevin on your marriage and new born baby. :) Perhaps with this baby you will grow, for most of us are immature for a long time, but once we raise our own child, things change. So keep your head up Britney. I am not mad at you, just concerned for your well being because I care. I intend to continue being a fan regardless what you do and what the media says because there is a lot of balogna in the media. That's all for now, and good luck to you and Kevin with your new life together. Love ya.
Whether we want to admit it or not, even now, in year 2012, there are still big gender biases in some fields of life. While it's generally understandable that men should do more heavy lifting than women and knitting fits a bit better for the women (even though I am aware even here there are many people who want to disagree), art is one of those things where our gender really should not play any significant role at all. And within the past decade things have started to change even on this front and even on the more conservative arenas such as Bukowskis - the top Nordic auction house.
